'Dr Fritz Kohlein' was named in honour of the German plantsman and author. It was bred by Volkmar Schara in 2004. This houseleek has a plastic appearance and was the worthy winner of Sempervivum of the Year 2009. We consider this variety to be wonderful, superb, brilliant - achieving great colour and form - so please don't be put off by the name!
