Sempervivum 'Fernzunder' translates from German as "Detonator". This new variety from Volkmar Schara (2011) explodes into colour during the warmer months. 'Fernzunder' was a seedling from 'Orange Glow' - a past winner of Sempervivum of the Year - so it has impressive ancestry. 'Fernzunder' itself has made it into the top ten a number of times and we're pleased to introduce this explosively colourful sempervivum to enthusiasts here in the UK.
