'Virgil' is one of our personal favourites. Introduced in 1980 by Edward Skrocki (USA) - who used to deliver trays of his sempervivum plants to garden centres in the back of a hearse, which apparently was practical as well as amusing. Great bluish-purple colour and superb shape, forming a pleasing clump. If you haven't already got it, get it!
