'Pippin' was awarded a Gold Rosette in 1980 by the now-defunct Sempervivum Society. Introduced by Betty Z. Bronow (USA). Delightful, symmetrical rosettes and good colour. A smaller variety. Appropriately named after the brave-but-small hobbit character in The Lord of the Rings trilogy.
