'Spring Mist' is a smaller but nevertheless quite vigorous variety with similar colours to 'Lavender & Old Lace'. Raised by a young Patty Warner (nee Drown) in the USA, 1976, under the watchful eye of Polly Bishop. Unfortunately, in Germany, "mist" translates as "manure" - although this quirk of language thankfully didn't dampen their enthusiasm for this variety when it found its way over to the UK and then to mainland Europe.
