'Tesoro' is a fantastic new variety (2004) bred in Germany by Volkmar Schara that we are delighted to introduce to the UK. It is extremely popular in mainland Europe amongst sempervivum enthusiasts and - having made it into the top ten on six different occasions, including 3rd place three times - we think it will undoubtedly soon win the Sempervivum of the Year award. It performs well here in the UK and the rosettes can grow to a good size. Stunning. 'Tesoro' translates from Spanish as 'Treasure'.
